There are so many amazing murals around Glasgow like the tiger one below! Artists Rogue One and James Klinge are our personal favourites. You can follow the mural trail map and see 25 murals in the city centre alone which are all so different. If you really love street art you can also fill a spare hour or two checking out the Yardworks at SWG3!
No it’s not Hogwarts… but it’s definitely thought that J.K. Rowling took inspiration from the University of Glasgow Campus. We definitely recommend a wander around this stunning campus and be sure not to miss the amazing University Cloisters. Nearby on Kelvin Way you have to try gyros from the MacTassos food truck if you love Greek cuisine like us.
We cannot recommend visiting here enough! The lighthouse is a favourite spot of ours in the city. Head to the third floor through the Mackintosh exhibition and find the coolest helical staircase. Even better, climb those steps to see the perfect 360 degree view of Glasgow.
You cannot visit Glasgow and not experience the city’s amazing nightlife. There are so many quirky bars and restaurants, but no matter what is on your list make sure you check out the hidden gem of Ashton Lane in the West End of Glasgow. It will not disappoint!
Visit the coolest indoor street food warehouse in Finnieston for the most delicious food and drinks. The DockYard Social is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday each week with 10 vendors. The variety is amazing. We highly recommend The Smokey Trotters Kitchen vendor and their Dead Elvis burger. For more food recommendations check out our Glasgow restaurant guide.
Every weekend Merchant Square hosts a craft market with really unique Glasgow souvenirs (not your typical tourist souvenir shop stuff). Browse the stalls and then grab something to eat at one of the surrounding restaurants. We recommend Bar Soba which serves food inspired by the night markets of South-East Asia and delicious cocktails
