The Location
The hotel and spa is located on the beautiful Isle of Mull in Craignure. You can take the CalMac ferry crossing from Oban to Craignure, which is a short journey of 45 minutes. The hotel is then very conveniently, only a few minutes drive from the ferry terminal. The hotel is surrounded by nature where you can enjoy the peaceful boardwalk to the beach. The colourful and popular town of Tobermory is also just a half hour drive away. Whether you want to enjoy a relaxing spa getaway or a pick a great base for exploring the island, this is the perfect hotel.
The hotel
The cosy hotel features 75 rooms, a gorgeous restaurant, sea deck drinks area and even its very own spa. Guests have access to the 17-metre sea view pool and can opt to book a relaxing Ishga treatment at the Driftwood Spa. There’s also the option to add the thermal experience to your stay which includes access to the sauna, steam room and large HotSpring hot tub outside.
The Room
The rooms at the hotel are both luxurious and cosy. The Retreat Suite features its very on deck and hot tub to enjoy after a day of adventures. Many of the rooms feature incredible sea and mountain views. It’s also in the little touches that make this stay so lovely such as the heated towel rail, Arran Aromatics After the Rain toiletries and the Nespresso coffee machine.
The food
The Òran na Mara restaurant is beautifully designed with wonderful service and delicious food. It boasts stunning views over the Craignure bay where you can watch the ferry crossing with Duart Castle in the distance. The menu is fantastic with both local seafood and non seafood options. Plus the Sticky Toffee Pudding and Banoffee Cheesecake desserts are to die for!
